Port Clinton and the nearby Lake Erie Islands are closely associated with the history of the War of 1812 and the Battle of Lake Erie. The War of 1812 helped shape our Nation’s history, and is as relevant today as it was 200 years ago.

The 1812 Food & Spirits brings you a classic fine dining experience with local favorites like Lake Erie yellow perch and walleye, to culinary treats like Walleye meatballs, prime rib rolls, veal liver, and Steak Alaskan to name but a few.

We feature steaks, chops, seafood, chicken, veal, and pasta entrées, in addition to a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and more. Our fabulous deserts are all fashioned in house with many intended for “sharing”.

Creamy Chestnut Soup

A Classic French soup of earthy chestnuts puréed until creamy. Creating a luxuriously thick, creamy texture with the full-on sweet buttery taste of fresh chestnuts. Finished with a dollop of créme fraiche.

Scallops cooked with wine and cream and baked golden brown with a ring of duchess potatoes.

Lobster Thermidor

Tender chunks of cold-water lobster bathed in a creamy cognac spiked sauce that’s stuffed back in the shell then topped with gruyere cheese. It’s then baked until golden and bubbling. Served with sautéed green beans.
